[1] Cases are seen in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Arunchal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Orissa, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, West Bengal. Cases in small ruminants are extensively under-reported.
