[1] Extensive livestock deaths in the Afar region with many human cases. A characteristic of these was oropharyngeal lesions.
[2] Omo Mago National Park in the SW of the country. Some 794 Lesser Kudu affected as well as cattle in nearby farms; other species affected were bushbuck (6), Defassa waterbuck (2), dikdik (4), gerenuk (11), Lelwel hartebeest (4), and warthogs (10).
