How
Do I Schedule an Appointment?
Appointments can be scheduled directly or by referral.
Referral
Your veterinarian calls and after consultation with someone on our
staff, makes arrangements for your horse to be examined.
Direct
Appointment
You may
call the Large Animal Office and schedule an appointment directly
without a referring veterinarian.
To schedule an appointment, call
225-578-9500 during our regular office hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday. Our receptionist will inquire about
the nature of your horse's problem in order to route you to the
appropriate clinician.
In case of EMERGENCY when the
office is closed, call 225-578-9500 and our answering
service will contact the on-duty clinician who will assist you.
When Are
We Open?
The Equine Clinic Office is open and a receptionist is on duty
between 7:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
It is
highly desirable for you and us for your animals to be seen BY APPOINTMENT
ONLY.
Appointments are generally scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Call the Farm
Animal Office at 225-578-9500 during regular business hours to schedule an
appointment.
We provide
24-hour 7-day-a-week EMERGENCY care. If you have an emergency outside of
regular business hours, call 225-578-9500 and our answering service will
contact the clinician on duty who will assist you.
Please note that
our answering service cannot schedule regular appointments nor can they
handle information calls of a non-emergency nature. Please call during
regular business hours for this type of assistance.
Outpatient and Inpatient Services
Both outpatient and inpatient services are offered. Hospitalization may be
required for diagnosis and treatment of some conditions. Hospitalized
horses can be visited by appointment.
