The mission of the Department of Pathobiological Sciences is to conduct
high quality biomedical research, with an emphasis on infectious disease,
train graduate students to conduct research on the molecular pathogenesis
of infectious diseases, train post-DVM students in pathology and lab
animal residency programs, provide superior education in veterinary
medicine in the professional curriculum, and provide superior diagnostic
service to the general public, the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital and
Clinics, and the veterinary medical community.
