Dr. Cox teaches pathogenic and clinical bacteriology and mycology in the professional curriculum. Dr. Cox received national recognition in 1986 when he received the Ralston-Purina Small Animal Research Award for his significant research with staphylococci of dogs and cats and he won the 1989 Distinguished Service Award of the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine.
