OUTREACH

LSU SVM alumni, veterinary, health care, and legal professionals are invited to and encouraged to use the services of the SVM Library. The following policies apply to library use by such patrons:

Visiting patrons may use all library resources when in the SVM Library. This includes books, journals, audiovisual materials, reserve items, photocopier, reference services, and public computers for access to library services.

Patrons unable to visit the library may request research material from the library through the interlibrary loan service on our website or by calling the Interlibrary Loan Department (578-9797).

LOANSOME DOC enables electronic ordering of photocopies of articles retrieved in MEDLINE searches in PUBMED.
An agreement with the SVM library must be signed first. Contact the Interlibrary Loan department for more details.

The library staff can mail photocopied articles from library journals for a fee. Requests may be made via phone, fax, or the form available on this website. Articles not owned can often be obtained by the library staff from another library via the interlibrary loan service. Fees for photocopy and interlibrary loan request services are outlined below.
