LOAN POLICY

A valid LSU ID Card is required to check out library materials. ID cards are nontransferable. Each individual issued an ID card is responsible for all library materials borrowed on his/her card. Some materials are restricted to use by SVM personnel only.

LOAN PERIODS

Journals = 1 day

Books = 14 days

Reserve Materials = 2 hours

RENEWALS

Materials may be renewed one time only. Renewals may be made in person at the library's Circulation Desk or by calling the Circulation Department at 578-9800. You can also renew online by clicking here.

BOOK RETURNS

Library materials may be returned directly to the Veterinary Medicine Library, to the book return located outside the library or to any campus library.

Borrowers will be charged for overdue materials at the following rates:

Books 35¢  per day

Journals 75¢  per day

Videos 75¢ per day

Reserve $1.20 per hour

Penalties may include fines, fees, and replacement costs.

PHOTOCOPIES

Two self-service copiers are available at the SVM Library for your convenience. Copies are 6¢ a page.

FAX

Faxes are sent Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Charges for sending faxes and cover sheets are:

$1 per page

$5 surcharge outside the Continental United States
