2010 Merial/NIH Veterinary Scholars Program

Students,

We would like to get an idea of how many of you think that you might be interested in the Merial/NIH Veterinary Scholars Program at this early date. Also, we would like to know what type of research experience you would like to obtain, and what area of research you are interested in. If you have not identified a potential mentor this may help us help you in your search. Please provide answers to each of the following questions and submit as soon as possible. Type of research experience desired: (Choose one of the options below to Indicate the type of research experience that most closely matches your interests and objectives.)

Mechanism-based, NIH-funded biomedical research at the cellular/molecular level. This will give you a taste of what a career as a funded biomedical researcher would be like.

Applied clinical research. This will give you a taste of applied research conducted by veterinary school clinicians.
