Are you looking for an exciting and different way to utilize your DVM skills? The Indiana Horse Racing Commission is looking for a highly motivated individual to oversee the Commission's equine testing procedures, monitor compliance of track and practicing veterinarians, enforce the Commission's regulations, supervise programs and personnel within the test barns and blood gas laboratories and oversee Salix administration scheduling at both of Indiana's race tracks. The successful candidate will be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and will be required to apply (pass) and maintain a valid license in good standing to practice veterinary medicine in the State of Indiana and federal accreditation by the USDA. Hands-on experience with large animals, preferably horses, is desired. Experience performing equine endoscopic examinations is preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience. The incumbent must be available to work some evenings, weekends and holidays during racing season (April-November). The State of Indiana is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
