DVM Transfer
Guidelines
Guidelines
for Students Considering Transfer into the DVM Curriculum:
The School of Veterinary Medicine will consider all transfer
requests on a case-by-case basis subject to availability of
space, the reason for requesting transfer, the quality of the
applicant, and what the applicant would bring to the LSU program
in terms of educational, cultural, ethnic, and geographical
diversity. Transfer into the most appropriate semester of the
curriculum will be considered based on how the curriculum of
the school that the student is transferring from fits into our
curricular template. In general, qualified Louisiana residents
will be given preference. Transfer opportunities
vary from year to year but are typically VERY limited if available
at all.
