What does it take to be a competitive applicant? While the minimum GPA for eligibility is a 3.00, just meeting the minimum GPA requirement will not make an applicant competitive. There is no minimum GRE score; however applicants should certainly have a score as close to the average as possible (obviously higher than the average is better). As seen above, for those applicants accepted into the Class of 2011, the average Required Course GPA was 3.82, the average Last 45 Credit Hour GPA was 3.76 and the average GRE score was 1133. Please take note of the range of each of these. An applicant has to be competitive on a broad scale, as there are three objective areas and two subjective areas (for more qualified applicants) that are evaluated during the admissions process. Please read through the "Applicant Selection Procedure" page for more information.
