Sago palm is a common plant of the cycad family that is very popular with landscapers and homeowners in the Baton Rouge area but is highly toxic to pets.

Dr. Mandi Lopez, associate professor and director of the LSU Laboratory for Equine and Comparative Orthopedic Research (LECOR), is the recipient of a competitive grant award from the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation to study equine adult stem cells for repair of injured bone.

The LSU School of Veterinary Medicine hosted its annual Small Animal Medicine Symposium on Sunday, April 11. This year’s focus was “Current Topics in Oncology.”

LSU SVM's 23rd Annual International Exhibition on Animals in Art continues through April 25 in the School of Veterinary Medicine Library on Skip Bertman Drive. This event is free and open to the public.
