Costs

Total costs at the VTH&C are usually comparable to those of veterinarians in private specialty practice. A veterinarian will give you an estimated cost of your pet's care before proceeding with any tests or procedures. Your initial estimate does not include recheck examinations, bandage changes or follow-up radiographs.

Full payment is required for all outpatient services. If hospitalization is necessary, a deposit equal to half the total estimated charges will be required. If it becomes apparent during hospitalization that the cost of your pet's treatment will exceed the original estimate, we will notify you. If you elect to continue treatment, an additional deposit may be required. Payment in full is expected at the time of discharge. Please note that charges are sometimes delayed. Therefore, occasionally clients receive a bill by mail for charges that were not included at the time of discharge.

The VTH&C accepts cash, checks, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and CareCredit. CareCredit is an independent financing company that offers a revolving credit line for veterinary and human healthcare expenditures, and they offer a variety of payment options. If you plan to use CareCredit to finance your bill, you may apply at our cashier’s desk, or online at www.carecredit.com/patients/whatis.htm
