Within the Equine
Department of the Vetsuisse Faculty University of
Zurich, a faculty position is available in Equine
Surgery. The position includes a full professorship and
the directorship of the Equine hospital.
Applicants must be
veterinarians and diplomates of the European College of
Veterinary Surgeons or the American College of
Veterinary Surgeons, must hold a habilitation, PhD or an
equivalent scientific status as well as demonstrate
research experience in the field of equine surgery.
Furthermore, candidates with connections to the equine
sports industry are welcome. Applicants should have a
good knowledge of German and/or English.
Apart from research,
postgraduate training of doctorate/PhD students and the
acquisition of extramural funding, the duties of the
professor include the responsibility of teaching
undergraduate students in equine surgery as well as the
organisation and maintenance of residency programs. More
