An
endowed chair is the ultimate living
legacy. A gift of $1,200,000 is matched by the Louisiana
State Board of Regents with $800,000 to create an
endowment of $2,000,000. Endowed chairs are critical to
enhance the areas of excellence within the School of
Veterinary Medicine, including Infectious Disease,
Equine Pathobiology, and Biomedical Cell and Molecular
Biology.A professorship can be endowed with a gift of
$180,000, which is matched with $120,000 by the Louisiana
State Board of Regents to provide a total gift of
$300,000. The following professorships have been
established:
